Fletcher Intermediate Science & Technology elementary students engaged in a hands-on program to measure stream quality. The program builds students’ environmental literacy to enable informed decision-making necessary for community resilience around environmental changes and challenges. To help young people understand how their actions impact local watersheds, they conducted water quality testing and observed how environmental stressors can impact macro diversity.
