Program Manager

Greening Forward is a youth-driven, youth-imagined environmental network of 1,500 young changemakers. Our collective impact engages 10,000 community members in campaigns that recycle 60 tons of waste, plant over 200 trees, and save over 155,000 gallons of water. Our Program Manager supports the indirect and direct needs of our program team.

Role Season Description
Technical Program Support Ongoing Creating web content (Prezi’s, surveys, Google maps), managing web content (Earth Savers Club blogs)
Partner/Program Research Ongoing Finding potential partners for Greening Forward’s program
Lead Webinar Quarterly Host and plan webinars that discuss topics of interest to Greening Forward partners
Curriculum Development Ongoing; particularly in summer Greening Forward has a database of over 110 curriculum resources on how young people can create change in their communities. Our curriculum addresses skills such as project planning, networking, succession-planning, team-building, to curriculum that connects to academic standards. The program manager must be comfortable with developing tools and resources that help young people academically and with these life-skills.
Organizational Spokesperson Ongoing Represent Greening Forward at conferences and within the program manger’s community as needed
International Skills Needed Optional If you know a 2nd language and can network with Latin American and Asian countries, please consider joining the Greening Forward programs team working specifically on international partnerships

Other Details

  • 5-7hrs/ week (rarely up to 10 hours)
  • Located in metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia is a plus; Also, location in Portland, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, New York, DC, and Philadelphia are also pluses; but students from across the United States are encouraged to apply
  • Opportunity to travel
