The Orion School

The Orion School incorporates gardening and outdoor adventures into its curriculum, engaging students with social and emotional challenges in environmental education. Because of Greening Forward, their Certified Wildlife Habitat includes an organic fruit and vegetable garden, chickens, a sanctuary for birds and pollinators, a worm farm, compost tumblers and rain barrels which are all used to promote environmental education. The garden also hosts a bat house for our friends who are listed as an endangered species by the IUCN.
